The McEwen Communications Building and Dining Hall at Elon. Thanks for taking the pictures mom.

This morning I woke up at 5am to catch a flight from JFK to Raleigh-Durham. Around noon, I arrived at Elon University, where I’ll be spending the next four years of my life studying communications. I was invited to participate in Elon’s Fellows Weekend as a Communications candidate.  Today, I spent time meeting many of the current fellows and professors at the school–reassuring me that the choice I made about committing to Elon was a great one.

When I got there, my friend Derek–another future Elon student who I met via Facebook– and I were exploring the dorm closest to the comm. building and met some freshman communications fellows who were great enough to give us a very in-depth tour of the school and comm. building. That night, there was a mixer where I introduced myself to the professors and students. It was a very intense experience and the thing I enjoyed the most was hearing how great all the other candidates are. Yes, I want to be a fellow and feel I’m qualified. But so was everyone who I met. No matter what happens, I’m confident that I’ll be going to school with many others that I’ll get to work and connect with.
