Elevator Time Lapse Video

A blog post from the NSPA website

My friend Jordan Michnoff and I created this video on our own initiative at the JEA/NSPA Journalism Convention. We spent about a half hour in the hotel’s glass elevator and created a time lapse video. I overlaid this during editing with sound bytes of people that stepped into the elevator talking about the convention. On a whim, I went down to the convention desk and showed the video to Marc Wood, the communications director of the NSPA. He liked the video so much that they showed it at the closing ceremony and posted it on their website.

I was featured in Newsday as a Long Island Scholar Artist. This award is only given to 20 high school seniors each year and I was the only winner this year for video production. I had my picture taken and a profile featured in an October issue of Newsday and will be attending an awards ceremony  in the Spring.

The profile is also featured online here.

A video that I shot and edited for the band O.A.R.’s video contest. The goal was to feature clips of my town set to their single “This Town.” Out of all the entries, my video came in second place.

This is a five-camera HD concert shoot that I directed and edited. I also was operating one of the cameras. The song is “Brass of Power” performed at Ward Melville High School’s Concert For A Cause ’09 by Hale Eddy.
